I have been getting migraines for 13-14 years (something like that). I know that if I don't eat enough, I get a migraine. I also know that if I get warm, I get a migraine. I also know that if I don't stop it right away by taking meds and/or eating more I'm going to have it for the rest of the night, possibly for the next day or two. So logically you would figure at some point in the past 3 or 4 hours I've been sitting here thinking about how hot my room is, how I've barely eaten anything all day and how my head is starting to hurt I would, you know, do something about it...

get it together Caitlin, now you have to sit here with a migraine

The blackboard-like site the UVA uses has an anonymous feedback place, where basically you can send your professor a comment and it doesn't record who sent it. One of my CS professors discusses every one that he gets in class. I haven't been going to that class too often (which is bad) so I was looking at his announcements powerpoint to see if there was anything I needed to know. This anonymous feedback was on Wednesday's slide:

"Can you please move your attendance quizes to Monday or Wednesday... alcoholics need sleep too."

a) SHIT, he's been giving attendance quizzes?!?!

b) Don't tell him people aren't coming to class on Friday cause they're out partying! That's going to make him more likely to give them then! Its so hard to wake up Friday mornings!

c) It is funny though

d) I'm curious what he had to say about this

Anyway, I also dislike when teachers won't give you old tests. I have two CS tests this week. One gave out the tests from the last 6 times he taught this class. I feel very prepared for that one. The other one hasn't given out any. She also decided not to come to class on Wednesday when on Monday that she announced it would be a review session... That test is in less than 24 hours. Guess I should start studying!

What did I do tonight?

a) made eggs with avocado and tomatoes (this was actually pretty good)
b) watched three hours of cooking shows while playing tetris
c) ate lemon bars out of the pan

What did the majority of UVA do?

a) drink
b) go see lady gaga

I like being back at school. Love my new apartment. Especially the fact that I have my own room / a full bed. The only thing I would like to do is transplant it a little bit closer to my classes. Preferably like it was first year where I could roll out of bed and go to class across the street. I guess I'm working my legs by constantly walking up/down the hills to my apartment. Looking forward to apartment hunting with Suzy soon :)

Two things in life at the moment

a) I feel more stressed out than I normally do about school. I mean I knew last semester I was screwing myself up for this semester. I only took 4 classes and of those 4, I only needed to go to 2 regularly / 3 were pretty easy. As my roommate put it I "slept and watched every episode of every tv show ever." Which I mean isn't EXACTLY true but... So now I have to be in class for so longggg and do so much work. And on top of that, I'm working, which I don't think would normally be a problem, but I'm not good at focusing and getting school stuff done in general without adding work to it.

b) Went tubing. Didn't put sunscreen on my legs. Terrible terrible decision. I've gotten burned before, but it's never been anywhere near this bad. It doesn't even feel like a normal sunburn which hurts when something touches it - it hurts really deep in my legs. If I sit/lie down for a long-ish amount of time, standing back up hurts so bad. When I get up in the morning, I can't stand up on the first try, it takes me a couple of times. Actually oddly enough, standing still hurts a lot more than walking.

I woke up at 6:30 this morning so I'm so tireddd. I'll probs pass out soon.

Someone else's turn to share!

I found one of the side mirrors from my car lying next to it this morning, partially smashed. THANKS. I really appreciate that I now have to waste my time and gas (and my parents money) driving to the dealership to get it fixed. Was that really necessary? I'm sure it was a hilarious moment for some drunkard, but really???

On a side note, found out who my big was yesterday. She is cool/pretty similar to me :)

So, bakery test?! Apparently we suck at making people happy, people complained and now the boss is mad. So now we all have to take a test to show that we know all the cakes, phone numbers, prices, etc.

Anyway, I wouldn't be too annoyed with this since I pretty much do know all of it. However, lets look at this nice little bonus they added. Anyone who doesn't get a 90% gets their pay demoted to $7 an hour. I wouldn't have taken that job if I knew I would be working for $7 an hour. And at this point it will be too late to go get another one. I wish I went and tried to be a waitress insteaddddd.

Oh well it's not like they're giving me enough hours to even be worth it anyway.

I feel like I should make cupcakes soon. Surprisingly haven't done that yet this summer. I have pretty much given up on the cupcake dream after about a year. Onto the next one: BREAD. I have a nice little bread tin and everything. So get ready.
